Today we are going to continue with the 16 skin types and will have a closer look at the variations of dry and wrinkled skin.
DRPW - Dry, resistant, pigmented and wrinkled skin rarely is sensitive and doesn’t suffer from acne breakouts, facial redness, or skin rashes. However, dark patches are very common. Make sure you follow a daily skin care routine that includes SPF, antioxidants, retinoids, moisturizers, alpha hydroxy acids and ingredients to even skin tone.

DRNW - Dry, resistant, non-pigmented and wrinkled skin rarely is sensitive and doesn’t suffer from acne breakouts, facial redness, or skin rashes. It also has a tendency to have even color, however can wrinkle easily. You might find that it is harder for you to get a tan and you didn’t have much skin problems when you were younger. Make sure you use an antioxidant and SPF 15+ daily and nightly retinoids.
DSPW - Dry, sensitive, pigmented and wrinkled skin tends to suffer from acne and/or facial redness and flushing. The result of these can be dark spots. This skin type doesn’t have a very good protective layer and needs products that can help with pigmentation and wrinkles without worsening the dryness and inflammation.

DSNW - Dry, sensitive, non-pigmented and wrinkled skin tends to suffer from acne or facial redness and flushing, rashes and irritation. It is very easily dehydrated, but has an even tone. Use products like barrier repair moisturizers, retinoids, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients.

We only have 4 skin types left. Have you found your skin type yet? Soon we will go through the basic rules of daily skin care.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are all ready for a productive week. Just reminding you not to forget about self-care even if you have super busy schedules. Try to eat nurturing foods, stay active, sleep properly and of course look after your skin.
If you haven’t found your skin type in the previous post, see if any of these four fit you. If not I will continue this week with the rest of them.
ORPT - Oily, resistant, pigmented and tight. This skin type doesn’t tend to suffer from acne, redness or rashes. However, it is common that you would get melasma and freckles. It doesn’t tend to wrinkle a lot because of increased skin pigmentation. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and use sunscreen when the weather requires so. Use products with higher concentrations of active ingredients to even skin tone.

ORNT - Oily, resistant, non-pigmented and tight. This skin type doesn’t tend to suffer from acne, redness or rashes. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle it will be easier to look after your skin when you are older. This type is skin produces sebum (oil) which is high in Vitamin E, which serves as an anti-aging component. Keep a close eye on your skin as you might not need a daily moisturiser.
OSPT - Oily, sensitive, pigmented and tight. This skin type is sensitive and susceptible to acne, rashes, irritations, redness and flushing. As a result of pimples and irritations you might get darkening of the skin. Melasma and freckles occur often as well. This type is skin produces sebum (oil) which is high in Vitamin E, which serves as an anti-aging component. Follow a healthy lifestyle and a consistent skin routine.
OSNT - Oily, sensitive, non-pigmented and tight. This skin type is sensitive and susceptible to acne, rashes, irritations, redness and flushing. This skin will get easier to look after as you age as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Try using cosmetics with soothing ingredients to calm your skin.
As always if you have any questions feel free to ask here or in direct messages. If you need a more detailed advice on how to deal with your specific skin type I would LOVE to help you.

Hello! Today we will run through 4 skin skin types from the Baumann’s diagram (Others will follow next week). This is a generalization, because even within these types there could be some more individual characteristics and personal health issues that could have an effect on the overall look of your skin. So keep these in mind for a general idea. For everyone, I would recommend looking at their lifestyle and improve it as much as you can.
What you eat, how much you sleep and stress has a drastic effect on your skin. Your skin is a mirror of what is going on inside your body.
ORPW - Oily, resistant, pigmented, wrinkled. If you have this type of skin it is likely that you were exposed to the sun a lot. This skin type doesn’t tend to suffer from acne, redness or rashes. However, it is common that you would get melasma and freckles. Try to use products with higher concentrations of active ingredients.

ORNW - Oily, resistant, non-pigmented, wrinkled. Again this type of skin has a tendency to wrinkle because of the lifestyle. This skin type doesn’t tend to suffer from acne, redness or rashes. It does wrinkle less than dry skin because of the protective sebum which is rich in antioxidants. For this type there are solutions that would help to lessen the appearance of wrinkles.
OSPW - oily, sensitive, pigmented, wrinkled. This skin type is susceptible to acne, rashes, irritations, redness and flushing. Darkening might occur because of inflammation. It is common that you would get melasma and freckles. Follow a consistent daily skin care routine to get the best results.
OSNW - Oily, sensitive, non-pigmented, wrinkled. This skin type is susceptible to acne, flushes, redness, rashes and irritations. It doesn’t have as much protective pigmentation and that is why it is vulnerable to skin aging. Retinoids, antioxidants and anti- inflammatory ingredients could be recommended to be used in the daily skincare regimen.

Hi

My name is Kelly. I am a certified advanced aesthetician with 15 years experience. What does that mean? It means that I am a SKINCARE SPECIALIST. I have not just received formal education on skin treatments, but also had hands on training before actually qualifying for a license.
I do truly believe that skin treatment is not just a one off magic pill that will solve all your problems and concerns. Like in any other health issue, it is an ongoing process that you have to support on an everyday basis. This is the exact reason why I don’t only provide treatments but also pass on my knowledge to you.
Obtaining a certificate does not mean that my education has finished. Within my 15 years of practice I have been constantly educating myself on the latest product ingredients and treatments.
There are many mass market solutions for all sorts of skin problems. However, each and every person is different and requires a personalised solution for their particular problem.
Whether you have Acne (stages I-IV), Hyperpigmentation, Rosacea, Dermatitis, Dehydration, Unwanted hair growth or a condition that has not been diagnosed yet, there is a solution for you and I would LOVE to help you figure it out.
What makes me so passionate about it? The feeling that I have really made a difference in someone's life and helped them start feeling different about themselves.

CBD or Whole Plant Extract? What to look for if it's an ingredient in your skin care product.

Whole Plant Nourishment for Your Skin

Full spectrum hemp extract can provide a myriad of potential benefits to help keep your skin healthy, soft, clear and looking young.

Acne: Acne is one of the most common skin problems faced by adolescents and adults. Almost everyone will suffer from acne at some point in their lives, whether it’s temporarily as they enter adulthood, or on a long-term basis throughout their lives. One study found that CBD may have properties that reduce inflammation while another study  found that Cannabis sativa may have antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Anti-aging and wrinkles: Free radicals are well-known antagonists against youthful skin. Full spectrum hemp extracts contain antioxidants, which can break down free radicals and may reduce the effects of aging on your skin, while also reducing the formation of wrinkles.

Irritated skin: Ongoing scientific research into CBD and other phytocannabinoids found in full spectrum hemp extracts continue to indicate that these chemicals may have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. One of the most common causes of irritated or sensitive skin is inflammation. Full spectrum hemp extracts found in lotions, massage oils and salves may have incredible soothing properties for sensitive skin.

Moisturizing and nourishing: The essential fatty acids found in full spectrum hemp extract have been used to help nourish and moisturize skin. In particular, omega-6 and GLA fatty acids supply added moisture to the skin, helping to protect against damage and irritation.
